I was in the OT today, preparing the patient.

Dr N : Can you drape the I/I machine?

Syafiq says : Yeah sure sure sure (as always me)

Dr N : You are always like that. Last time you say you know only, when I ask you to do you don’t know. I call sombody else

Syafiq says : WT????????????????????

Then later I did it swiftly w/o any hiccups. Did it many times.

Some people are really too judgmental. I wonder how they work as professionals.

For the good seed 2

رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَاجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّاتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ وَاجْعَلْنَا لِلْمُتَّقِينَ إِمَامًا

Al-Furqaan : 74

Wahai Tuhan kami, berilah kami beroleh dari isteri-isteri dan zuriat keturunan kami: perkara-perkara yang menyukakan hati melihatnya, dan jadikanlah kami imam ikutan bagi orang-orang yang (mahu) bertaqwa.

Our Lord! Vouchsafe us comfort of our wives and of our offspring, and make us patterns for (all) those who ward off (evil).

Dua for good offsprings… I am searching for more… =)

For the good seed

رَبَّنَا وَاجْعَلْنَا مُسْلِمَيْنِ لَكَ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِنَا أُمَّةً مُّسْلِمَةً لَّكَ وَأَرِنَا مَنَاسِكَنَا وَتُبْ عَلَيْنَآ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيمُ

Al Baqarah 128

Ya Tuhan kami, jadikanlah kami berdua orang yang tunduk patuh kepada Engkau dan (jadikanlah) di antara anak cucu kami umat yang tunduk patuh kepada Engkau dan tunjukkanlah kepada kami cara-cara dan tempat-tempat ibadah haji kami, dan terimalah taubat kami. Sesungguhnya Engkaulah Yang Maha Penerima tobat lagi Maha Penyayang.

Our Lord! make of us Muslims, bowing to Thy (Will), and of our progeny a people Muslim, bowing to Thy (will); and show us our place for the celebration of (due) rites; and turn unto us (in Mercy); for Thou art the Oft-Returning, Most Merciful.

I planned this for the last 3 years. True. But what is important people say that the journey of getting there itself. We went through numerous challenges, even tasted defeat in our relationship. Indeed, victory is sweetest when you have tasted defeat. Syukur Alhamdulillah.

The coffee dilemma

I am a coffee lover, not an addict (yet).

Since the start of Ramadhan, I slowed down my coffee intake since I think Ramadhan is all about self abstaining, being good spiritually and physically and endurance long night prayers.

The thing is that I do not drink during sahur/suhur for reasons I might get polyuria and dehydrated on the day but it makes me sleep all day with the lack of caffiene.

But if I drink it after buka puasa its good for tarawih and qiams but it totally whacks out my sleep at night – sleep more at days.

Hmmm I miss those days in IMU going to hospitals at day, H1N1 fear free bazaar at seremban and the iftars with friends and the balik kampung feel of going back home. Miss those days!!!!

Later I will be buka puasa-ing and sahur during on-calls.

My circardian rhythm is totally out.

Walimatul Urus

Alhamdulillah. I’m getting married this 26th September, 1 day after I proposed her 4 years ago. Wallimah, reception is on the 27th ya! It has been a long time and I thank Allah for this nikmah and hoped for a truly blessed married life ahead. On behalf of Ami Kalsum aka Combi you’re all invited!! InsyaAllah.

يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اتَّقُواْ رَبَّكُمُ الَّذِي خَلَقَكُم مِّن نَّفْسٍ وَاحِدَةٍ وَخَلَقَ مِنْهَا زَوْجَهَا وَبَثَّ مِنْهُمَا رِجَالاً كَثِيرًا وَنِسَاء وَاتَّقُواْ اللّهَ الَّذِي تَسَاءلُونَ بِهِ وَالأَرْحَامَ إِنَّ اللّهَ كَانَ عَلَيْكُمْ رَقِيبًا (4:1)

Wahai sekalian manusia! Bertaqwalah kepada Tuhan kamu yang telah menjadikan kamu (bermula) dari diri yang satu (Adam), dan yang menjadikan daripada (Adam) itu pasangannya (isterinya – Hawa), dan juga yang membiakkan dari keduanya – zuriat keturunan – lelaki dan perempuan yang ramai. Dan bertaqwalah kepada Allah yang kamu selalu meminta dengan menyebut-yebut namaNya, serta peliharalah hubungan (silaturrahim) kaum kerabat; kerana sesungguhnya Allah sentiasa memerhati (mengawas) kamu. An-Nisa : 1

O manKIND! Be conscious of your Sustainer, who has created you out of one living entity, and out of it created its mate, and out of the two spread abroad a multitude of men and women.  And remain conscious of God, in whose name you demand [your rights] from one another, and of these ties of kinship. Verily, God is ever watchful over you!. An-Nisa : 1
